Field Applications Engineer

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to create technical solutions and drive design wins using engineering expertise
• Provide in-depth engineering support, including training, demos, proof of concept designs, and debugging client systems
• Deliver pre- and post-sales technical support for all product lines
• Conduct architectural and schematic reviews, design reviews, and product training
• Manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously and support technical and business relationships
• Communicate feedback to Microchip product business units and participate in global team strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g., BSEE, BSCE)
• 1+ years of relevant work experience
• Strong hardware and software debugging skills
• Ability to create content and deliver technical overviews, seminars, and workshops

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microcontrollers, processors, and proficiency in C/C++
• Understanding of analog signal chains, power conversion, motor control, and DSP algorithms
• Experience with RTOS, Linux, wired and wireless networks, and IoT platforms
• Understanding of embedded security, authentication, and encryption
