Field Application Scientist

Responsibilities

• Serve as a scientific partner and liaison for academic research customers in the U.S. Southwest region
• Provide hands-on technical training, product demonstrations, and seminars on genomics technologies
• Support Field Sales Representatives in achieving yearly sales targets through technical expertise
• Assist customers with experimental design, data analysis, troubleshooting, and assay optimization
• Contribute to the Field Application Scientist team through strategic projects and internal collaboration

Requirements

• MS in Life Sciences minimum (PhD preferred)
• 5+ years of related experience, including expertise in qPCR techniques, assay design, and optimization
• Strong verbal and written presentation skills
• Proven experience in training others and providing technical support
• Ability to work remotely within the assigned California territory and visit customers on-site daily
• Sales aptitude to support field sales representatives

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with various qPCR instruments
• Knowledge of Digital PCR, sequencing, and related molecular biology techniques
• Advanced understanding of genomics applications and supported instrumentation
