Field Application Engineering Intern

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical advisor to cloud service providers, server, and network OEMs
• Identify and understand customer requirements to propose Astera Labs solutions
• Provide hands-on design-in support for connectivity products
• Work with engineering teams to implement customer requirements into the product roadmap

Requirements

• Junior or Senior undergraduate student in Electrical Engineering
• Authorized to work in Taiwan and able to start immediately
• Basic understanding of schematics or PCB layout tools (Cadence, Altium, etc.)
• Basic understanding of using an oscilloscope
• Experience with C or Python is a plus
• Ability to use PowerPoint and Excel for project coordination

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in high-speed interfaces like PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, and NVMe
• Willingness to work with lab tools such as protocol analyzers and logic analyzers
• Curiosity about firmware and AI-assisted development
