Field Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, and deploy test solutions for Digital, High-Speed Digital, SoC, Mixed Signal, and Analog semiconductor devices
• Perform test program software development in collaborative environments
• Review load board and probe card schematics for design and layout
• Analyze technical problems and recommend solutions on Teradyne ATE platforms to optimize customer throughput
• Work closely with test engineering customers to understand and improve test processes and coverage quality
• Manage the release of test solutions to production, including correlation and gauge R&R with handler and prober equipment
• Discover customer requirements regarding hardware, software, and test cell integration
• Provide technical training, exchanges, and documentation to customers
• Build and maintain strong technical relationships with customers to understand their future needs

Requirements

• Bachelor or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 5-8 years of experience in the semiconductor testing industry
• Hands-on experience with IC component testing project development
• Proven experience in test/product engineering for Digital, High-Speed Digital, SoC, Mixed Signal, or Analog devices on ATE platforms
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Visual Basic, C, C++, Java, or C#.NET
• Ability to travel 25% or more, both domestically and internationally
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Teradyne ATE platforms (UltraFlex, UltraFlexPlus, or IG-XL)
• Experience with other semiconductor ATE platforms such as Advantest V93K or Eagle Test Systems
• Knowledge of handler and prober interface experience
• General understanding of ATE industry trends and competitive product positioning
