Field Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop test processes including test strategy, interface design, ATE, test software, and fixturing
• Integrate new processes into production and serve as a technical resource for factory operations
• Investigate and develop efficient test processes by analyzing defect trends and metrics
• Perform data collection, analysis, and software debugging to identify root causes at customer sites
• Maintain high customer satisfaction by providing innovative and timely solutions to system problems
• Provide daily or weekly analysis reports to field and engineering teams
• Travel moderately within Asia and the US to collaborate with engineering and customer service teams

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics
• 3-5 years of relevant working experience
• Familiarity with embedded system FPGA/Microcontroller architecture
• Knowledge of SPI, I2C, SMBUS, and UART inter-communication
• Understanding of network protocols including DHCP, TFTP, and TCP/IP
• Ability to understand basic electronic circuits and perform debugging
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux command lines
• Experience with statistical software tools for complex data analysis
• Programming skills in C, C++, C#, and the .NET framework using Visual Studio
• Strong English communication, listening, and writing skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an Application or Test Development engineer in the semiconductor, HDD, or automation industries
• Knowledge of developing test software using Labview or Matlab
