Field Application Engineer/Product Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical interface between customers, sales, and global engineering teams for automotive high-speed communication connectors
• Engage in technical discussions with customers regarding automotive high-speed communication technologies
• Collaborate with domestic and overseas design teams to support product development following defined processes
• Translate customer technical requirement specifications into design inputs for global engineering teams
• Create technical proposals to support product expansion and business growth
• Work closely with the sales organization to ensure customer requirements are reflected in product designs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical/electronic, communications, or mechanical engineering
• Practical experience in the automotive or electronic components industry
• Knowledge of high-speed signal transmission (e.g., signal integrity, transmission lines, impedance design)
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, including connectors, harnesses, and circuit diagrams
• Native level Japanese language skills
• Business basic English language skills
• Strong logical communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automotive high-speed communication connector or harness design
• Knowledge of Automotive Ethernet standards and ecosystems (e.g., OPEN Alliance, IEEE 802.3)
• Experience with EMC/EMI countermeasures
• Previous business experience working directly with automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers
• English communication skills at a business level or higher
