Field Application Engineer, Mechanical

Responsibilities

• Provide field application support to key customers to drive design wins and business growth.
• Offer technical guidance on interconnection solutions, including new part qualifications and failure analysis.
• Propose optimal connector solutions and customized concepts based on specific customer application scenarios.
• Resolve complex mechanical application technical problems and coordinate with Quality and Development teams to solve failures.
• Monitor market trends and provide Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback to internal product marketing and design teams.
• Maintain strong professional relationships and trust with key customer engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field.
• At least 5 years of R&D experience in Computing, Storage, or Networking products.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in 3D mechanical design tools (UG/NX preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with connector and cable assembly applications.
• Deep knowledge of Computing, Storage, or Networking hardware.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently in a self-driven manner.
• Excellent team spirit and professional communication skills.
