About the role
Responsibilities
- Optimize patient access by serving as a key educational resource for providers regarding reimbursement and access challenges.
- Deliver tailored, field-based education on reimbursement processes to healthcare providers, hospitals, academic institutions, and specialty pharmacies.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with healthcare organizations to identify and resolve access issues.
- Provide education and support to internal teams to equip them with tools for addressing complex reimbursement scenarios.
- Stay informed on healthcare policies, reimbursement trends, and regulatory requirements to proactively address challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5+ years of field-based experience in account management, sales, or medical affairs.
- Strong knowledge of the reimbursement landscape and the practice management environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute account-based strategies to drive patient access outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Expertise in account management, relationship development, and issue resolution.
- Ability to travel up to 75% within the territory (Indiana and western Ohio).
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in patient services or reimbursement roles within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or rare disease industry.
- Experience in healthcare policy, reimbursement, or market access.
- Familiarity with buy-and-bill and pharmacy models.
- Experience with specialty or high-cost therapies in chronic or acute care settings.
