About the role

Responsibilities

  • Optimize patient access by serving as a key educational resource for providers regarding reimbursement and access challenges.
  • Deliver tailored, field-based education on reimbursement processes to healthcare providers, hospitals, academic institutions, and specialty pharmacies.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with healthcare organizations to identify and resolve access issues.
  • Provide education and support to internal teams to equip them with tools for addressing complex reimbursement scenarios.
  • Stay informed on healthcare policies, reimbursement trends, and regulatory requirements to proactively address challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5+ years of field-based experience in account management, sales, or medical affairs.
  • Strong knowledge of the reimbursement landscape and the practice management environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute account-based strategies to drive patient access outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise in account management, relationship development, and issue resolution.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% within the territory (Indiana and western Ohio).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in patient services or reimbursement roles within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or rare disease industry.
  • Experience in healthcare policy, reimbursement, or market access.
  • Familiarity with buy-and-bill and pharmacy models.
  • Experience with specialty or high-cost therapies in chronic or acute care settings.
