About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of OSP/ISP fiber installation scopes, ensuring alignment with project schedules and milestones
- Oversee all phases of fiber delivery including backbone installation, pathway coordination, splicing, testing, and commissioning
- Manage and oversee fiber subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and production expectations are met
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and change management processes
- Coordinate fiber scope across multiple disciplines including electrical, telecommunications, and IT teams
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and procurement coordination while monitoring project costs
- Oversee QA/QC processes and ensure proper documentation of testing results, as-built drawings, and turnover packages
- Serve as the primary point of contact for fiber scope with client representatives and project leadership
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in construction project management with a focus on fiber optic infrastructure
- Proven experience managing large-scale OSP and/or ISP fiber installation projects
- Strong understanding of fiber backbone installation, routing, splicing, and testing processes
- Experience managing subcontractors and field operations
- Proficiency in project scheduling, RFIs, submittals, and change management
- Ability to effectively coordinate across multiple technical disciplines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in mission-critical or data center construction environments
- Background in design-build or EPC project delivery
- Familiarity with fiber testing standards and QA/QC turnover requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
