Fiber Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of OSP/ISP fiber installation scopes, ensuring alignment with project schedules and milestones
• Oversee all phases of fiber delivery including backbone installation, pathway coordination, splicing, testing, and commissioning
• Manage and oversee fiber subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and production expectations are met
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and change management processes
• Coordinate fiber scope across multiple disciplines including electrical, telecommunications, and IT teams
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and procurement coordination while monitoring project costs
• Oversee QA/QC processes and ensure proper documentation of testing results, as-built drawings, and turnover packages
• Serve as the primary point of contact for fiber scope with client representatives and project leadership

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in construction project management with a focus on fiber optic infrastructure
• Proven experience managing large-scale OSP and/or ISP fiber installation projects
• Strong understanding of fiber backbone installation, routing, splicing, and testing processes
• Experience managing subcontractors and field operations
• Proficiency in project scheduling, RFIs, submittals, and change management
• Ability to effectively coordinate across multiple technical disciplines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in mission-critical or data center construction environments
• Background in design-build or EPC project delivery
• Familiarity with fiber testing standards and QA/QC turnover requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
