Fiber Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day fiber installation activities and coordinate with field supervision and subcontractors
• Perform QA/QC inspections to ensure work meets project specifications, including pathways, cabinets, and splicing
• Maintain accurate redline drawings, markups, and as-built documentation
• Support project engineering through RFIs, submittals, and material tracking
• Monitor production progress and communicate risks or delays to project leadership

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in field engineering or construction support (telecommunications/fiber preferred)
• Hands-on experience with fiber installation projects in field construction environments
• Strong understanding of fiber optic systems, including pathways, duct banks, and splicing
• Experience with QA/QC inspections, redline markups, and as-built documentation
• Proficiency in supporting RFIs, submittals, and production reporting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on large-scale telecom, data center, or infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and BIM tools
• Exposure to design-build or EPC project environments
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
