About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify, plan, and execute reliability evaluations for new technology development, technology qualification, process changes, and abnormal events
- Manage solutions to integration problems by collaborating across departments including Diffusion, Cleans, Metals, Integration, Device, and Product Test
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments to improve semiconductor fabrication processes
- Utilize statistical tools and reliability models to extract lifetime data from time-to-fail data
- Define new process integration for new technology nodes and utilize lessons learned to improve reliability margins
- Represent Samsung technology leadership by authoring papers for symposiums and journals and participating in external conferences
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or Physics
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor device or product reliability
- Hands-on experience with FEOL reliability mechanisms such as BTI, HCI, and TDDB
- Demonstrated understanding of device physics for FEOL reliability
- Detailed understanding of reliability-design guidelines in semiconductor technology design rules
- Knowledge of SiO2/Poly-Si and High-k/metal gate integration schemes for Planar/FinFET technology
- Advanced project management skills and a clear understanding of reliability statistics
