FedRAMP/GovRAMP Compliance Program Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the FedRAMP/GovRAMP readiness program, including roadmap development, milestone tracking, and risk management
• Define and maintain the authorization boundary with Product, Engineering, and Security stakeholders
• Coordinate readiness assessments, gap analyses, and formal assessments with external 3PAOs
• Develop and maintain key authorization artifacts including System Security Plans (SSP), policies, and POA&Ms
• Translate NIST 800-53 requirements into actionable operational processes
• Establish repeatable evidence collection and control validation practices
• Partner with technical teams to align cloud architecture and incident response with compliance requirements
• Facilitate governance meetings and communicate readiness to executive leadership

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience leading FedRAMP, GovRAMP, StateRAMP, or comparable cloud compliance programs
• Strong knowledge of NIST 800-53 and cloud security frameworks
• Experience supporting authorization activities, audits, and continuous monitoring
• Familiarity with FedRAMP documentation (SSPs, SAPs, SARs, POA&Ms)
• Strong understanding of SaaS and cloud environments (AWS, AWS GovCloud, or Azure Government)
• Excellent program management and cross-functional leadership skills
• Strong written communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience achieving FedRAMP Moderate/High or GovRAMP authorizations
• Experience working with 3PAOs or government sponsors
• Background in healthcare, life sciences, or public sector
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, or security monitoring
• Experience with GRC platforms or compliance automation tools
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, PMP, or Security+
