About the role
Responsibilities
- Source and purchase F&B items, consumables, and kitchen equipment
- Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery conditions with suppliers
- Establish and maintain vendor relationships and approved supplier lists
- Coordinate with storekeepers to track inventory levels and reorder supplies
- Ensure par levels are maintained without overstocking or understocking
- Conduct regular audits with the cost controller or finance team
- Ensure all products meet company quality standards and food safety regulations
- Inspect deliveries for quality, quantity, expiration dates, and compliance
- Monitor purchasing budgets and report variances
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, receipts, returns, and stock usage
- Use procurement software or ERP systems to streamline orders and reporting
Requirements
- Proven experience in F&B purchasing or procurement (2+ years preferred)
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Knowledge of perishables, storage, shelf-life, and F&B market trends
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple SKUs
- Familiarity with HACCP and food safety standards
- Proficiency in procurement or inventory software (e.g., Material Control, FMC, Oracle)
- Fluent in English
