F&B Purchasing Officer

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase F&B items, consumables, and kitchen equipment
• Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery conditions with suppliers
• Establish and maintain vendor relationships and approved supplier lists
• Coordinate with storekeepers to track inventory levels and reorder supplies
• Ensure par levels are maintained without overstocking or understocking
• Conduct regular audits with the cost controller or finance team
• Ensure all products meet company quality standards and food safety regulations
• Inspect deliveries for quality, quantity, expiration dates, and compliance
• Monitor purchasing budgets and report variances
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, receipts, returns, and stock usage
• Use procurement software or ERP systems to streamline orders and reporting

Requirements

• Proven experience in F&B purchasing or procurement (2+ years preferred)
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Knowledge of perishables, storage, shelf-life, and F&B market trends
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple SKUs
• Familiarity with HACCP and food safety standards
• Proficiency in procurement or inventory software (e.g., Material Control, FMC, Oracle)
• Fluent in English
