About the role
Responsibilities
- Modernize aircraft tracking systems, including aircraft utilization, inspection intervals, and fleet health assessments
- Integrate and document structural and system design requirements in coordination with engineering teams
- Develop, execute, and analyze test plans to validate systems against certification standards
- Support in-service products by investigating failures and performing root cause analysis
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications and database objects using current technologies
- Troubleshoot software issues and develop user training and support materials
- Provide training and mentorship to early career engineers on Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) tasks
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Material Sciences)
- Experience with computer programming or software development
- Ability to develop technical reports and present results
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
- US Citizenship is required to obtain a US Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
- Knowledge of Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) requirements
- 5+ years of experience performing structural, fatigue, and fracture analysis
- 3+ years of programming experience in languages such as Fortran, Java, SQL, Python, or C++
- Experience with industry-standard structural analysis software
