Fastener Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct torque to failure and torque plus angle testing of threaded fasteners
• Assemble components and secure them in vises or clamps prior to testing
• Use power tools, including electric nut runners, for component rundown
• Interpret torque angle curves and perform manual torque wrench measurements for joint relaxation
• Analyze collected test data and write detailed technical reports
• Collaborate with fastener engineers and design engineers to validate joint designs

Requirements

• Associate degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and assemblies
• Proficiency using manual and power tools such as wrenches, sockets, and electric nut runners
• Experience in conducting technical tests, analyzing data, and writing reports
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
• US citizenship or permanent residency status
