About the role
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair agricultural equipment including tractors, cultivators, and irrigation systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing to minimize downtime
- Repair gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and transmissions
- Perform welding and metal fabrication to repair or modify equipment
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and technical specifications
- Coordinate with the Parts Department to obtain replacement parts
- Test-drive vehicles and operate repaired equipment to verify performance
Requirements
- Minimum of six months of experience as an agricultural equipment mechanic
- Ability to operate standard mechanic hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one within 30 days
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in extreme outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to perform repetitive motions, bending, stooping, and kneeling
