The Arc of Greater New Orleans (ArcGNO) is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live meaningful, independent lives. Since 1953, ArcGNO has provided advocacy, education, and support services to individuals and families across the region.
Responsibilities
- Develop Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) with families
- Conduct face-to-face visits at least quarterly and maintain regular monthly contact
- Coordinate continuity of care and link families to service delivery systems
- Assist families in identifying needs and developing support networks or transition plans
- Provide education regarding disabilities and accommodations
- Maintain precise documentation of all verbal and written communications
- Complete all required billing and IFSP forms within established deadlines
- Assist with obtaining transportation for appointments related to service plans
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Human Service related field
- Experience working with children and families
- Valid LA driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion
- High usage of cell phone for coordination
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working specifically with children with disabilities
