About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate community programs including client intake, food bank distribution, and emergency assistance
  • Conduct initial intake assessments to determine immediate client and family needs
  • Oversee food bank operations, including inventory management, health and safety compliance, and food rotation
  • Supervise staff and volunteers, providing direction and ensuring adherence to program standards
  • Maintain accurate client records and statistics using the Link2Feed management system
  • Manage food bank donations, cash, and operational budgets
  • Coordinate community food drives, fundraising campaigns, and seasonal programs like Christmas assistance

Requirements

  • College degree in Social Work or an equivalent field (Human Services or Social Services)
  • At least one year of experience in community engagement or program administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and perform moderate loading/unloading of goods
  • Strong conflict-resolution and communication skills to work with diverse populations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with web-based volunteer databases
  • Knowledge of social media management and advertising
  • Current CPR, First Aid, or Non-Violent Crisis Training certification
