Family Physician

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions across all ages
• Conduct routine check-ups, screenings, and immunizations
• Perform minor surgical procedures, wound care, and office-based treatments
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging
• Coordinate referrals to medical specialists and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with legal standards
• Provide health education regarding diet, exercise, and mental health

Requirements

• Certification by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
• Licensed and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage diverse health issues in patients of all age groups

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a community-based organization
• Experience working with diverse cultures
