About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct physicals, medical evaluations, diagnostics, and treat illnesses within an integrated setting
- Provide general and preventative care, including ordering lab tests and prescribing/monitoring medications
- Educate patients regarding preventative care, wellness activities, and prescribed treatments
- Establish therapeutic relationships with a diverse patient population to reach treatment goals
- Coordinate with other providers and make appropriate referrals for specialty and behavioral health care
- Provide leadership and cohesion within the clinic environment, potentially supervising medical staff or students
- Maintain professional records and patient files in accordance with agency guidelines and state regulations
Requirements
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner)
- Valid Arizona Nurse Practitioner License
- ANCC Board Certification
- Valid DEA license and BLS certification
- Valid Arizona driver's license (must be 21+ with minimum 4 years driving experience)
- Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1)
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- Experience using NextGen EHR
