About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessment and triage of domestic violence incident reports in collaboration with WA Police and Child Protective Services.
- Undertake comprehensive risk assessments and develop safety plans using established risk management frameworks.
- Respond promptly to urgent client safety needs, providing crisis-focused intervention and support.
- Deliver home visits, community outreach, advocacy, and case coordination for victims and their children.
- Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders including police, courts, child protection, and specialist FDV services.
- Participate in interagency meetings and forums to advocate for the needs of families affected by violence.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in family and domestic violence, child, youth, or family services.
- At least 1 year of experience working within FDV services, including case management and trauma-informed assessment.
- Strong local knowledge of, and respect for, ATSI communities and cultural protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to apply sound judgement in high-risk situations.
- Full driver licence with no restrictions.
- Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
