Fairgrounds Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, accounting, and customer service support for the County Fair and Fairgrounds facilities
• Process accounts receivable, deposits, receipts, and basic transaction records
• Assist with accounts payable, vouchers, expense coding, and cost tracking
• Support front desk operations by greeting visitors, answering phones, and responding to public inquiries
• Register exhibitors, vendors, and other participants using specialized fair software
• Prepare rental agreements, estimates, contracts, and related facility records
• Maintain accurate files and event information for staff, vendors, contractors, and exhibitors

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of administrative, clerical, or customer service experience
• Experience handling payments, data entry, or recordkeeping
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to learn specialized software such as Fair Entry, POS systems, and QuickBooks
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field
• Experience with accounting or financial software such as QuickBooks or ShoWorks
• Familiarity with BARS coding
