Failure Resolution Process Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead rapid response to quality concerns on the production floor
• Analyze quality deviations within General Assembly to determine solutions and eliminate faults
• Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, Kaizen, and Red X
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Launch, Production, and Maintenance
• Identify and troubleshoot manufacturing constraints and optimize paint application techniques
• Monitor key process variables and analyze data to identify trends and root causes
• Maintain accurate records of process changes, experiments, and troubleshooting activities
• Train Production and Quality teams on new process improvements and best practices
• Support the design and deployment of layered quality gate systems

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of professional experience in automotive production and quality control
• Hands-on experience with general assembly products and processes
• Proven experience with VDA standards
• Bachelor’s degree in automotive technology, Quality, or a related technical field preferred
• In-depth knowledge of automotive processes, products, and materials
• Strong understanding of process auditing techniques and methodologies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software
• Ability to travel 10-40% (Domestic and International)
• Passport required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience launching Greenfield or Brownfield plants
• Hands-on experience with electrical systems and mechanical assembly techniques
