Failure Analysis Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot issues for process and manufacturing constraints
• Develop and implement corrective actions to resolve process deviations and optimize body-in-white production techniques
• Monitor key process variables and analyze data to identify trends and root causes
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to define specifications
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure materials and processes meet specifications
• Maintain accurate records of process changes, experiments, and troubleshooting activities
• Train production and quality teams on new process improvements and best practices
• Develop and implement procedures to minimize plant waste

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of professional experience in automotive production and quality control
• Hands-on experience with body-in-white production and processes
• Proven experience with VDA standards
• Bachelor’s degree in automotive technology, quality, or 10 years of related technical field experience
• In-depth knowledge of automotive processes, products, and materials
• Strong understanding of process auditing techniques and methodologies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally (10-40%)
• Valid driver's license and passport required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience launching greenfield or brownfield plants
• Hands-on experience with electrical systems and mechanical assembly techniques
