Failure Analysis Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform system-level and rack-level failure analysis across server and data center platforms.
• Debug complex hardware, firmware, and platform-related issues involving CPUs, GPUs, memory, PCIe, and power delivery.
• Analyze system logs, platform telemetry, BIOS, BMC, and other diagnostic data to isolate root causes.
• Reproduce failures in lab environments and utilize diagnostic tools to validate fixes.
• Partner with design, firmware, validation, and manufacturing teams to drive corrective actions.
• Develop technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and SOPs to improve organizational effectiveness.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools and automation to improve troubleshooting efficiency and scale engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience with system-level troubleshooting and hardware debugging.
• Strong skills in root cause analysis and complex issue resolution.
• Proficiency in Linux-based environments and platform diagnostic workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting server, data center, networking, or enterprise hardware platforms.
• Familiarity with BIOS, BMC, IPMI, or platform management technologies.
• Understanding of networking technologies, signal integrity, or high-speed interfaces.
• Experience collaborating with ODM partners, manufacturing, or quality teams.
• Ability to use lab debugging equipment and system diagnostic tools.
• Experience leveraging AI tools or automation to improve technical problem-solving.
