Faculty Researcher Artificial Intelligence for Industrial Systems

Responsibilities

• Develop a high-impact applied research program in Artificial Intelligence for Industrial Systems.
• Lead collaborative research projects with manufacturing companies, logistics firms, and technology providers.
• Translate AI research into deployable industrial solutions, including prototypes and digital platforms.
• Mentor graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in applied research projects.
• Publish in leading scientific journals while prioritizing industry impact and technology transfer.
• Establish long-term partnerships with industrial organizations and participate in corporate membership programs.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Robotics, Operations Research, or a closely related field.
• Proven experience in the development and implementation of AI-based solutions for industrial systems.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with industry partners or applied research laboratories.
• Ability to secure research funding and develop strategic industry partnerships.
• Minimum English proficiency at a B2 level (written and oral).

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Spanish.
• Experience in digital twins, IoT, or cyber-physical systems.
• Experience in predictive and prescriptive analytics for supply chain management.
