Faculty, Periodontics & Director of Predoctoral Periodontal Education

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the predoctoral periodontics curriculum for the DDS program.
• Direct didactic, preclinical simulation, and clinical instruction in periodontics.
• Create and manage student assessments across the curriculum.
• Participate in scholarly activities, research, and departmental service.
• Serve on college and university committees.

Requirements

• DDS/DMD or equivalent degree.
• Clinical proficiency in periodontics.
• Eligibility for a Dentist License or a Limited Dental Teaching License in the state of Ohio.
• Ability to be appointed as a faculty member in the College of Dentistry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certificate of advanced education in periodontics from a CODA-approved residency.
• Experience in dental education, curriculum development, and predoctoral teaching.
• Knowledge of CODA accreditation standards and compliance.
• Track record of research or scholarship.
• Experience with contemporary digital dentistry technologies.
• Board eligibility or certification by the American Board of Periodontology.
