Faculty Member in Psychiatric Nursing

Responsibilities

• Deliver Psychiatric Nursing lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and clinical training
• Supervise students during clinical rotations in mental health and psychiatric care settings
• Facilitate simulation activities, case-based learning, and therapeutic communication training
• Utilize Blackboard LMS and digital teaching tools to manage course content and assessments
• Provide academic advising, mentorship, and constructive feedback to nursing students
• Participate in research, academic conferences, and curriculum development
• Ensure compliance with academic policies and accreditation standards (e.g., NCAAA)

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing
• Valid professional nursing license or registration
• Proven clinical experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing
• Experience with Blackboard LMS and digital learning platforms
• Strong clinical and academic expertise in psychiatric nursing
• Excellent teaching, mentoring, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in nursing education or academic teaching
• Familiarity with simulation-based teaching methodologies
