Faculty Member in Microbiology

Responsibilities

• Deliver Microbiology lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions covering bacteriology, virology, mycology, parasitology, and immunology.
• Facilitate laboratory sessions using cultures, slides, and simulation tools while maintaining safety standards.
• Integrate microbiology concepts with clinical practice through case-based learning.
• Utilize Blackboard LMS and digital teaching tools to manage course delivery and assessments.
• Provide academic advising, mentoring, and timely feedback to support student development.
• Conduct and publish research in microbiology or related biomedical fields to contribute to the program's research culture.
• Ensure compliance with academic policies and accreditation standards, such as NCAAA.
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and curriculum development.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Microbiology or a related biomedical field.
• MBBS with a mandatory specialization in Microbiology or Infectious Diseases.
• Proven teaching experience in a medical or health sciences program.
• Familiarity with laboratory teaching protocols and safety standards.
• Proficiency with Blackboard LMS and other educational technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ExamSoft or similar assessment tools.
• Demonstrated track record of scholarly research and publication.
• Experience in curriculum design and continuous academic improvement.
