Faculty Member in Medical Surgical Nursing

Responsibilities

• Deliver Medical Surgical Nursing lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and clinical training
• Supervise students during clinical rotations in hospital and healthcare settings
• Facilitate simulation activities, case-based learning, and clinical skills training
• Teach evidence-based nursing care for patients with acute and chronic medical-surgical conditions
• Utilize Blackboard LMS and digital teaching tools effectively
• Prepare and administer assessments, assignments, and clinical evaluations
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to nursing students
• Participate in research, academic conferences, and scholarly activities
• Ensure compliance with academic policies and accreditation standards

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Nursing with specialization in Medical Surgical Nursing
• Valid professional nursing license/registration
• Clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing
• Experience with Blackboard LMS and digital learning platforms
• Strong clinical and academic expertise in medical-surgical nursing
• Excellent teaching, mentoring, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous teaching experience in nursing education
• Familiarity with simulation-based teaching and educational technologies
