Faculty Member in Histology

Responsibilities

• Deliver Histology lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions covering cell biology, tissue structure, and organ systems
• Facilitate practical sessions using microscopes, slides, and digital histology platforms
• Integrate histology with anatomy and physiology using a systems-based approach
• Utilize Blackboard LMS and digital teaching tools to manage course content and assessments
• Provide academic advising, mentoring, and timely feedback to support student development
• Conduct and publish research in histology or related biomedical fields
• Ensure compliance with academic policies and accreditation standards (e.g., NCAAA)
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and curriculum development

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Histology, Anatomy, or a related biomedical field
• MBBS with specialization in Histology/Anatomy is mandatory
• Proven experience teaching Histology in a medical or health sciences program
• Familiarity with microscopy, virtual labs, and digital pathology tools
• Proficiency with Blackboard LMS and educational technologies
