Faculty Member in Chemistry

Responsibilities

• Deliver Chemistry lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions for preparatory year students
• Simplify core concepts such as general chemistry, basic organic chemistry, and chemical principles
• Apply student-centered teaching methods to enhance engagement and comprehension
• Utilize Blackboard LMS and digital teaching tools effectively to manage course content
• Prepare and administer assessments using tools like ExamSoft
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and academic reports
• Provide academic advising and support to help students overcome academic challenges
• Ensure alignment with academic policies, quality standards, and accreditation requirements
• Participate in departmental meetings and collaborate with faculty on curriculum delivery

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Chemistry or a related field
• Proven experience teaching Chemistry, preferably in preparatory or foundation programs
• Strong ability to explain complex scientific concepts in a simple, structured way
• Familiarity with Blackboard LMS and various digital teaching tools
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
