Faculty Member in Anatomy

Responsibilities

• Deliver Anatomy lectures, laboratory sessions, and tutorials covering Gross Anatomy, Histology, Embryology, and Neuroanatomy
• Facilitate practical sessions including dissection, models, or virtual labs
• Apply student-centered teaching approaches such as Case-Based Learning (CBL) and Problem-Based Learning (PBL)
• Utilize Blackboard LMS and digital tools for academic delivery and assessment
• Provide academic advising, mentoring, and progress monitoring for medical students
• Conduct and publish research in anatomy or related medical fields
• Ensure compliance with academic policies and accreditation standards (e.g., NCAAA)
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and curriculum development

Requirements

• PhD in Anatomy or a related medical field
• MBBS with a mandatory specialization in Anatomy
• Proven experience teaching Anatomy within a medical or health sciences program
• Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies including PBL and CBL
• Proficiency with Blackboard LMS and digital teaching tools
• Strong subject expertise and ability to simplify complex medical concepts
