About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach core engineering courses and specialized chemical and biochemical engineering concentration courses
  • Provide university service through student advising, mentoring, and supervising senior design projects
  • Support student organizations such as AIChE and participate in university committees
  • Contribute to program continuous quality improvement, assessment, and ABET accreditation activities
  • Engage in scholarly research, engineering education initiatives, grant writing, or technical conference presentations
  • Assist in laboratory development, specifically integrating the Unit Operations Laboratory into the curriculum
  • Support environmental and sustainability initiatives within the engineering program

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in engineering with a specialty in Chemical or Biochemical Engineering (or a closely related discipline)
  • Commitment to the integration of Christian faith and engineering practice
  • Ability to live in agreement with the ONU Statement of Mission, Faith, and Lifestyle Covenant
  • Strong passion for undergraduate teaching and supporting the university mission

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional practice or significant industry experience
  • Master's degree (M.S.) combined with significant industry experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
