Faculty - Biology

Responsibilities

• Teach a 4/4 course load, typically consisting of two lectures and two labs each semester
• Provide instruction in microbiology and immunology across various delivery modes (face-to-face, hybrid, and online)
• Lead undergraduate research programs to enrich student learning experiences
• Advise and mentor students to support their academic and professional growth
• Provide service to the Department, College, and University
• Engage in ongoing professional development and evidence-based instructional innovation

Requirements

• For tenure-track status: A Doctorate in microbiology, immunology, or a related field (ABD considered)
• For Professional Faculty status: A Master's degree in microbiology, immunology, or a related field
• Proven expertise in microbiology lab techniques and best practices
• Experience in undergraduate teaching

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead impactful undergraduate research programs
• Experience with diverse teaching modalities including hybrid and online instruction
