Faculty - Associate Degree Nursing

Responsibilities

• Teach registered nursing content in classrooms, skills/simulation labs, and clinical settings
• Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing curriculum in alignment with program requirements
• Communicate clear learning objectives and administer assessments to measure student outcomes
• Supervise students in clinical settings and provide academic advising and guidance
• Participate in program development, accreditation efforts (ACEN), and departmental committees
• Maintain accurate academic records and stay current with trends in nursing practice and education

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required (Applicants with a non-nursing master's must have a BSN and at least six graduate-level nursing credit hours)
• Current or eligible for an unencumbered RN license in the State of Texas
• At least three years of recent nursing experience or advanced preparation in nursing education or administration
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy
• Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record and insurability under college policy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in nursing or a related field
• Previous college-level teaching experience
• Experience with instructional technology
• Experience with clinical simulation
