Factory Shift Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the weekend shift team, setting the pace and ensuring a clean handoff to the weekday team
• Operate industrial saws, bandsaws, CNC equipment, and material handling systems
• Load, measure, cut, and inspect aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to exact specifications
• Run forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials safely
• Follow cut lists and production schedules with high precision
• Receive inbound material, verify against purchase orders, and package outbound shipments
• Record cut data and job completions accurately in digital software systems
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe floor environment

Requirements

• Experience in a factory, metals service center, or skilled trades
• Knowledge of bandsaws, industrial saws, or CNC equipment
• Proficiency with digital software systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate heavy equipment on your feet for a full shift
• Availability for weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM)
• Strong leadership skills and a commitment to safety protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in metals, aluminum, or aerospace/defense supply chains
• Forklift and/or overhead crane certification
• Prior supervisory or shift lead experience in a manufacturing environment
• Comfort using AI tools to improve workflow efficiency
