Factory Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Verify product and process compliance with contractual, technical, industry, and AS9100 QMS requirements
• Facilitate cross-functional teams in failure analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations
• Manage non-conforming material through identification, physical control, and Material Review Board (MRB) facilitation
• Develop and maintain inspection and work instructions to ensure technical data package requirements are met
• Generate and publish Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) metrics and lead meetings to reduce quality costs
• Interface regularly with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and internal stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
• Minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience
• Experience reviewing schematic drawings as part of the assembly process
• Proficiency using quality tools such as Pareto analysis, cause/effect diagrams, and process mapping
• U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 Quality Management Systems
• Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements
• Knowledge of AS9145 (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
• Six Sigma or ASQ Certification
• Strong interpersonal skills for negotiating and leading cross-functional teams
