About the role
Responsibilities
- Verify product and process compliance with contractual, technical, industry, and AS9100 Quality Management System requirements
- Facilitate cross-functional teams in failure analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, and Corrective Action Boards (CAB)
- Manage the identification, physical control, and disposition of non-conforming material and facilitate Material Review Boards (MRB)
- Develop and maintain inspection instructions and work instructions to ensure technical data package requirements are met
- Perform regular data analysis and develop actionable metrics, including Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
- Execute First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with AS9102
- Interface with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and internal stakeholders to manage quality issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
- Two years of relevant experience in Quality, Operations, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing processes (assembly, inspection, or test)
- Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance (Secret) required on day 1
- U.S. citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection Requirements
- Knowledge of AS9145 (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
- Experience with Product/Process Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Regression Analysis
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in auditing processes or product improvements
- ASQ Certifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
