Factory Design Manager

Form Energy is an American manufacturing and energy technology company revolutionizing energy storage with cost-effective, multi-day technology designed to keep the electric grid secure and reliable. We are scaling up battery manufacturing at our first high-volume facility in West Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Act as the bridge between factory engineering/production and the facility design team
• Manage the change request process from inputs through design acceptance
• Vet and organize project requirements and documentation
• Create and manage design schedules and track project status
• Unblock issues to maintain project timelines
• Organize design review meetings, set agendas, and verify task completion
• Manage design consultant contracts, including RFPs, performance tracking, and invoice approval
• File design drawings, specs, and reports in Procore
• Collaborate with procurement and project managers for execution

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience on manufacturing and industrial projects from concept to delivery
• Expertise in factory design, manufacturing, material flow, and construction
• Advanced project management skills applied to complex engineering problems
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Experience managing conflicting objectives and compressed timelines in industrial projects
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and under pressure
