Facility Technician I

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, repair, and maintenance of building grounds, equipment, and facilities
• Execute minor carpentry, painting, and plumbing maintenance tasks
• Assist maintenance personnel with various technical requirements
• Use overhead cranes, hoists, lift trucks, and hand trucks to move materials and machinery
• Manage waste disposal, including trash, oil drums, and recycling materials
• Conduct inventory of bulk oil, empty drums, and scrap items
• Maintain facility cleanliness using floor scrubbers and by cleaning machine sludge
• Support seasonal tasks such as snow removal and plant watering
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two years of related experience in facility maintenance or a similar field
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP
• Valid state driver's license
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs and climb ladders
• Ability to work at heights of up to 20 feet
