Facility Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Ensure the facility's technical and organizational fire protection and physical security systems function, are maintained, and comply with legal and internal requirements.
• Perform daily supervision, functional testing, and follow-up of fire alarms, evacuation alarms, access control systems, and intrusion alarms.
• Plan and execute regular inspections, testing, and self-controls according to established routines, authority requirements, and insurance mandates.
• Document deviations, operational disturbances, test results, and implemented actions to ensure traceability in control journals.
• Coordinate fault reports, service, maintenance, and inspections with internal functions and external vendors.
• Contribute to systematic fire protection work (SBA) and ensure routines, instructions, and safety documentation remain up to date.
• Maintain physical security by controlling locks, door environments, permissions, access points, and alarm zones.
• Support the business during incidents, alarm events, evacuations, and system restoration.
• Provide training, information, and practical support to employees and managers regarding fire safety, alarm management, and access control.

Requirements

• High school education, preferably with a technical focus, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with technical security systems such as fire alarms, intrusion alarms, or access control systems.
• Strong understanding of systematic fire protection work, self-controls, documentation, and follow-up.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and frameworks regarding fire protection, work environment, and physical security.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialized training as a facility security officer for fire alarms, sprinklers, or gas extinguishing systems.
• Education or certification in SBA (Systematic Fire Protection Work), flammable goods, ATEX, physical security, or property technology.
