Facility Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Serve as the company’s Facility Security Officer (FSO) to maintain NISPOM compliance and DCSA requirements
• Administer and maintain the company's Facility Clearance (FCL)
• Manage personnel security workflows including clearance initiation, reinvestigations, and onboarding
• Maintain accurate clearance and access records across internal systems and government platforms
• Coordinate with government customers, prime contractors, and subcontractors on security matters
• Conduct employee security briefings, debriefings, and annual refresher training
• Develop and improve scalable security processes, policies, and training materials
• Administer physical security controls, access control systems, and visitor management
• Support the design and maintenance of secure workspaces and classified processing areas

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in security, personnel security, or government contracting
• Experience managing security clearance workflows and supporting cleared personnel
• Familiarity with NISPOM, DCSA processes, DD254s, and visit requests
• Working knowledge of DISS and related security systems
• U.S. citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret or Top Secret clearance
• Experience supporting a cleared defense contractor or defense technology company
• Prior experience at a high-growth startup
• Completion of relevant CDSE training or certifications
• Familiarity with CUI, OPSEC, or insider threat requirements
