Facility Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple facility outside services, engineering and construction projects ranging from $0.05MM to $30MM
• Direct day-to-day activities of project teams to achieve project goals
• Bid, award, and select engineering firms, construction firms, equipment vendors, and service contractors
• Develop and maintain project schedules and manage capital budgets
• Review and process change orders in accordance with contract requirements
• Prepare project updates and budget release presentations for upper management
• Execute and manage site-wide controlled drawings program
• Establish and maintain site security program

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related engineering field
• Experience managing facility and construction projects within the pharmaceutical industry
• Experience in project management and engineering practices
• Familiarity with estimating and bidding processes
• Experience negotiating with landlords, government regulation offices, and contractors
• Understanding of manufacturing processes for plasmid DNA and viral vectors
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project highly desired

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP or similar project management certification
