About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide auxiliary operations support to daily facility activities in accordance with approved procedures.
- Support routine operation evolutions, maintenance coordination, and implementation.
- Perform radiological protection functions including surveys, access control, and contamination monitoring.
- Execute designated security functions, including monitoring and compliance with site requirements.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and lifts.
- Assist with logistics, material receipt, inventory accountability, and staging.
- Support facility upgrades, equipment installation, and oversight of third-party contractors.
- Perform administrative duties including recordkeeping, procedure support, and work coordination.
- Respond to abnormal or emergent conditions as directed by operations leadership.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work onsite in Idaho Falls, ID and perform physically demanding tasks (standing, lifting, etc.).
- Ability to perform cross-functional duties across operations, radiological protection, security, and administration.
- Experience with forklifts or material handling equipment (or the ability to qualify).
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical training, associate degree, or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous experience in a radioisotope research or test facility.
- Experience in project management and a highly organized approach to tasks.
