About the role

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement annual maintenance plans for building systems including electrical, HVAC, sanitation, fire prevention, and elevators
  • Manage facility energy-saving initiatives, waste management, and recycling operations to ensure compliance
  • Oversee budget management (OPEX/CAPEX), cost analysis, and the execution of cost-reduction strategies
  • Lead the standardization and deployment of successful facility management practices across nationwide sites
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with building maintenance partners
  • Oversee cafeteria and retail shop operations to improve employee satisfaction
  • Manage KPI reporting and facility-related documentation

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in facility management, building management, or property management
  • Proven experience managing teams of 5+ people or managing external vendor partners
  • Strong foundational knowledge of building systems (electrical, HVAC, sanitation, and fire prevention)
  • Experience in cost management, including budget planning and cost-reduction execution
  • Business-level Japanese proficiency (ability to lead meetings and create professional business documents)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in facility management within the manufacturing or logistics industries
  • Professional certifications such as Building Environmental Hygiene Management Technician, Energy Manager, or Chief Electrical Engineer
  • Experience leading facility improvement projects from planning through implementation
  • Experience managing multiple locations or sites across different regions
  • English language proficiency (reading and writing for global communication)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
