Facility Manager

Responsibilities

• Coordinate business operations to ensure timely production and distribution of packaged gas.
• Manage the operational scheduling, supply chain, materials, and shipping teams.
• Oversee and mentor Production and Distribution supervisors to drive proficiency and development.
• Determine production requirements based on plant capacity and manage potential bottlenecks.
• Manage a multi-faceted transport operation, including HGV route planning and logistics.
• Promote a safety-focused, continuous improvement culture across the filling plant.
• Plan workflows, schedules, and manpower requirements for production departments.
• Create weekly and monthly reports and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Assist with employee hiring, training, performance evaluations, and retention.

Requirements

• Proven leadership ability with demonstrable experience in production and operations management.
• Experience in HGV transport management and route planning.
• Strong practical understanding of stock and inventory control.
• Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven project management experience.
• Excellent organizational, task management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in IT systems.
• Ability to work outside of normal working hours as required by business demands.
