About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain databases for available, assigned, and occupied spaces, including exhibit items and artwork
- Prepare preliminary drawings and interior space layouts for furnishings
- Schedule the setup and takedown of equipment and furniture required for various events
- Manage and update information on the UT365 SharePoint site
- Apply established standards for building and space access control
- Reconcile cost allocations with various units arising from monthly facilities billings
- Liaise between clients, Learning Space Management, Campus Events, and Facilities to resolve operational issues
- Serve as the Secretary to the Faculty Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC)
- Identify and report facility caretaking, repair, and maintenance needs
Requirements
- College Diploma (2 years) or an acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years of related facilities and/or event support experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including SharePoint
- Experience preparing event space layouts and conducting space-usage evaluations
- Strong understanding of occupational health and safety guidelines and practices
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing small renovation projects
- Proficiency with CAD-based software such as AutoCAD or SketchUP
- Experience with Salto Security Systems and room booking systems
