Facility Maintenance Technician III

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, fixtures, and facility systems
• Review service requests to determine the nature of problems and recommend appropriate solutions
• Troubleshoot and maintain facility systems under general supervision
• Coordinate work with outside contractors and oversee subcontractor activities
• Ensure all work meets building standards and safety codes
• Document specific needs including materials, supplies, and instructions
• Assist with the movement of furniture, materials, and equipment as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of specialized experience in facility maintenance or a related field
• Ability to pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to obtain a security access badge at the client location
• Ability to work 3rd shift (typically 10 pm – 6:30 am) and perform overtime, weekend, or holiday work as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree in industrial technology or an industrial electrical certificate
• Experience working as a licensed electrician
• Knowledge of lighting, lighting control, and commercial systems
• Experience installing rigid conduit and EMT up to 3 inches
• Working knowledge of NEC, including sizing wire/transformers and calculating conduit fill
• Experience troubleshooting and replacing 3-phase motors up to 60hp
• Experience using a CMMS or Maintenance Management System (e.g., Maximo, MP2)
• NFPA-70E training
