About the role

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair breakdowns or malfunctions of plant, facility utilities, electrical, and mechanical equipment
  • Assist in the development and execution of a Preventative Maintenance (PM) system for all maintenance shop equipment
  • Maintain facility systems including boilers, compressors, heat exchangers, HVAC, chillers, and sanitary/storm sewer systems
  • Perform equipment calibrations on meters, transmitters, valves, pumps, and scales
  • Coordinate project work to support facility and production system improvements
  • Operate maintenance shop equipment and heavy machinery, including forklifts and scissor lifts
  • Document maintenance issues, findings, and work orders to ensure reliable operations

Requirements

  • Experience with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Basic welding and electrical skills
  • Proficiency in using computers and performing basic math
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize tasks effectively
  • Current forklift certification and scissor lift training (or ability to become certified)
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including extended shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed
