About the role
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair breakdowns or malfunctions of plant, facility utilities, electrical, and mechanical equipment
- Assist in the development and execution of a Preventative Maintenance (PM) system for all maintenance shop equipment
- Maintain facility systems including boilers, compressors, heat exchangers, HVAC, chillers, and sanitary/storm sewer systems
- Perform equipment calibrations on meters, transmitters, valves, pumps, and scales
- Coordinate project work to support facility and production system improvements
- Operate maintenance shop equipment and heavy machinery, including forklifts and scissor lifts
- Document maintenance issues, findings, and work orders to ensure reliable operations
Requirements
- Experience with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Demonstrated ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
- Basic welding and electrical skills
- Proficiency in using computers and performing basic math
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize tasks effectively
- Current forklift certification and scissor lift training (or ability to become certified)
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including extended shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed
